These will be your tools of the trade. There's no need to worry about strapping on awkward devices or using complicated exercise equipment, you’ll be up and sweating in minutes. So, how does it work? The game includes 4 tools to reach your goal:

  • Fitness Program - This is where you establish your goals, make a plan and compete for the title of The Biggest Loser. Pick a 4, 8 or 12 week program and start sweating.
  • Health and Lifestyle Tool - In this component you’ll find encouragement and tips from former Biggest Loser contestants and trainers, and some of the best recipes from the Biggest Loser cookbooks.
  • Exercise Routines - This section allows you to select from a collection of routines that match your skill level and let you focus on every part of your body. Through it you can also create your own routine that fits your schedule and focuses on your favorite exercises.
  • Challenge Events - In Challenges you’ll take the exercises you’ve learned and put them to the test in a series of fun but competitive events against some of the former contestants that you’ve seen on The Biggest Loser show. In Single Exercises, you can find your weakest exercise and conquer it or refine your technique to get the most out of your time.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible   September 1, 2010
kj (Chicago, IL)
I own at least 50 or more wii games, several or wii fit, golds gym and other workout games. All of which I have been very pleased with including wii active. However, this one is ultimately the worst one I own. The menu and setups are too time consuming to navigate through and not easily explanatory either. Plus after you FINALLY get it set up the way you want, the routines have horrible lagtime between set ups of different exercises especially on your own personal routine. You have to use their presetup ones to have a somewhat normal time experience. The challenges are difficult and challenging which is good, but not always easily understood what you should do. I don't want to have to study a game to get benefits. I should be able to pop it in click some selections and go, but this is ridiculous. They should take some clues from wii active and wii fit plus as far as menu setup.

Save your money, I wish I did.

5 out of 5 stars Best Overall Workout!   August 7, 2010

I did a lot of research before I purchased a fitness game for the Wii. . . Biggest Loser had the best reviews so we went for it. My hubby and I bought it in January to kick start our weight loss. 8 months later and my husband has dropped 10 pant sizes and 100 lbs, I've lost 30 lbs (but only had 35 total to lose). I feel stronger and better than I have in years. With the combination of cardio, pilates, yoga, and general calisthenics in a circuit training format, you pack in a great workout and see results within the first 4 weeks. Not only do you lose weight, but the routines help you sculpt and build muscle without bulk. Plus, most of the workouts are only 20 - 40 minutes which is much easier to do when you are busy. It also provides a place to track calories. I haven't tried Wii Fit or any of the others, but I still use this program 8 months later and haven't even thought about buying another one. I can't say enough great things about this program!

1 out of 5 stars The only thing lost here is money!   July 1, 2010

I've never written a review before, but this game is so terrible, I just had to try to warn others to stay away! I just received this game yesterday. I used it for about 10 minutes then threw it away. This is a complete waste of money!!! The idea behind the game is good, but the execution is terrible. Problems include:

- needing a ton of room! In order to do plank, side lunges, and triceps dips, you need tons of room all the way around the balance board. If you don't have the room, you'll have to keep repositioning the board something you don't have enough time to do, and if you do have enough time, when you move the board, the game may think you are ready to go.
- constantly needing to move the remote from one pocket to the other...and what if you don't have pockets?
- inaccurate weigh-ins. WiiFit is mostly accurate when weighing in, but the Biggest Loser game shows a different number!!
- need to constantly look at the screen. What others have said about the exercise changing with no notice is exactly correct. It is very difficult to keep up with the game. The Biggest Loser workouts are challenging, but at least with the videos, you have someone talking you through things when you are supposed to me looking down. This problem coupled with the need to move the balance board, and continue to change the remote, makes this game worthless to me. I spent more time moving things around than I did working out.
- the game doesn't tell you what you are doing wrong, and many times will tell you that you are doing well even if you aren't doing anything!! If you aren't doing a motion correctly, the game won't register it...but there is no feedback to tell you what you need to correct, or at least what kind of motion the balance board is looking for.

This game is a work out, but the frustrations associated with it aren't worth it's $50+ cost. STAY AWAY!!! If you really want the Biggest Loser kind of experience, get a video instead. You could get two for the price of this awful game.

5 out of 5 stars Great exercise video   June 23, 2010

I have a couple of other exercise videos for Wii and this one really is the best. You can chose the levels and have different exercises. It really gives you a great workout!
