Fun? Not so much July 13, 2010 Esperanza Carrera (San Antonio, TX) I'm very disapointed in this game. Not fun at all and we did try to
find "something" to like about it, and sadly we couldn't.

the game is very hard to move around and understand. Once you get the game set it is not much fun! Very disappointed in this game.
Doesn't take advantage of wii controls January 30, 2010 Sarah Spelbring (Indiana, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What I hate about standard video games is having to remember what button to push when to make a character do an action. That's why I LOVE the Wii - the controllers allow true motion to determine the action.
But not in Winter Sport. You have to pump controls and hit buttons and I just didn't want a game like that. I wanted to do the motions of skiing or lugeing or what ever.
Not my cup of tea, though I'm sure it's a bunch of fun if you're used to that type of game. It looks great.
Kids were in tears & extremely frustrated--WAY TOO HARD January 15, 2010 Kathy (Texas) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
We have had the Wii for more than 2 years, and the kids have loved the Wii ski, wii sports resort, and just about every other game I've purchased. This game is WAY too hard! Huge disappointment.
My daughter was so excited because it came with figure skating, but the way you have to move the controls is very strange and we've never been able to complete a program without falling a bunch of times...she's 9 and is really good at all our other Wii games so I am not sure what the problem is with this one & why it is so hard. She was literally in tears she was so frustrated last time, which is NOT the kind of reaction a kid should have when playing a brand new game.
My son (7) and I have both tried the ski jump and the downhill skiing. Downhill is too fast to be able to control, and the ski jump is REALLY confusing & unclear on what you are supposed to do.
I am ready to just scrap this one & take it as a loss. Too bad, because with the winter Olympic games coming up it could have been really fun. I am really disappointed, and the reviews were so mixed that I should have known better. Honestly, I'd love to know of anyone who can actually DO any of these!! Bottom line is the instructions on what to do for each sport are really vague, and it's hard to do most of them anyway.
I don't let my kids play video games for hours on end so,they probably won't get good at this any time soon--maybe it's for people who want to spend all day learning how to control & work the darn thing. I'd love to know of one with the winter sports that is actually fun and doable & the kids can pick up quickly. This one just isn't it, although it LOOKS great. :(
horrible graphics January 8, 2010 S. Jaimez (Evanston, Wyoming) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It looks like fun from the case but the actual game was complicated and blurry and hard to navigate through and even after we figured it out the games were not that fun. I can see why someone wanted to sell it.
